Arsenal are among the Premier League clubs linked with Borussia Dortmund’s talented forward Karim Adeyemi.
The 22-year-old German international has been garnering interest from several top clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United, over the past few months.
Ahead of the January transfer window, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey confirmed that Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City were closely monitoring Adeyemi’s situation.
TBR Football previously reported that Adeyemi was undecided about leaving Dortmund in January, as his camp believed he would have more options available in the summer.
Adeyemi ultimately stayed put at Dortmund, and now renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the player’s future.

The respected journalist also revealed that Adeyemi did not want to leave Dortmund in January but is now “prepared for a new chapter in the summer.”
Adeyemi’s Potential Impact at Arsenal and Liverpool
When in top form, Adeyemi is a formidable attacking force capable of playing across the frontline. In the 2021/22 season, he registered an impressive tally of 19 goals and 5 assists in the Bundesliga, along with 3 Champions League goals.
Former Red Bull Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle praised Adeyemi’s abilities, saying, “Karim has almost everything a striker needs. His quality and speed are incredible.”
Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Red Bull Salzburg | 94 | 33 | 24 |
Borussia Dortmund | 79 | 19 | 13 |
FC Liefering | 35 | 15 | 12 |
The Bundesliga website even compared Adeyemi to Liverpool star Mohamed Salah back in 2023, highlighting their similarities as “goalscoring left-footers who make magic happen from out wide.”
Despite some injury issues this season, Adeyemi has still managed to contribute 5 goals and 6 assists from 16 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund.
With Adeyemi’s contract situation and his readiness for a new challenge, Arsenal, Liverpool, and other interested clubs will be keeping a close eye on his development in the upcoming summer transfer window.
